A universal worm reducer, also known as a worm gear reducer, is a mechanical device used to reduce the speed of an input shaft and increase the torque output. It typically consists of a worm gear and a worm wheel, which are meshed together at a right angle.
The gear isworm a cylindrical gear with a screw-like shape, while the worm wheel is a round gear with teeth that mesh with the worm gear.
