Three Phase Ac Motors
Dissimilar to a DC motor, where the power is sent to the inner rotor, in a Three Phase AC Motor you send power to the outer loops, which structure the stator. The loops are energized in pairs, in order, generating a magnetic field which swaps around the external of the motor. These type of motors dont need any starting method or we can say these are self-starting induction motors. The stator of the Three Phase AC Motor has overlying winding offset via an electrical angle. When the primary winding is connected to Three 3 phase AC source, these make rotating magnetic field that rotates at the synchronous speed.
